It was officially confirmed by the CEO of Xiaomi that Mix Fold 3 will be released in China on August 14.
The device will debut as the successor to Mix Fold 2 and Mi Mix Fold .
This is the third foldable phone from Xiaomi. The company released official images showing the complete design of Mix Fold 3. From the released images, it can be seen that the smartphone will feature four Leica-branded cameras, and it will also have slightly rounded edges. Xiaomi's goal is to directly compete with Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, Honor Magic V Fold and Pixel Fold smartphones.
The premiere of the foldable Xiaomi will start at 19:00 local time and will include the annual keynote speech by Xiaomi's CEO, namely Lei Jun \Lei Jun\. He is expected to share details about the company's upcoming and current projects.
The brand also published first-look renders on the Chinese platform Weibo, showing the design of Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 from all angles in both folded and unfolded modes.
The renders show two color variants of Mix Fold 3 in black and cream shades.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is expected to feature an 8.01-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) inner display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 6.7-inch OLED screen on the outer cover.
Both screens will offer a 120Hz refresh rate.
The launch announcement for Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 comes weeks after Samsung introduced two foldable devices – Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 .
This is expected to create competition in the foldable smartphone market.
The design line will remain identical to that of Mix Fold 2 and Mi Mix Fold, but the upcoming Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 will now use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
We expect that the new chip will provide faster operating speed and longer battery life.
The company's new foldable phone is expected to support 50W wireless charging, and its battery capacity will be 5000mAh Li-Po with 67W wired fast charging.y
