In recent years, we have grown accustomed to our smartphones becoming increasingly elongated, reaching proportions that often make them difficult to operate with one hand. However, Huawei has decided to reverse the trend with something truly innovative and unexpected. Meet the Huawei Pura X View – the world's first monoblock smartphone to introduce a completely new, wide form factor.
Instead of following established standards, the Pura X View draws inspiration from the inner screens of foldable devices, yet integrates it into a classic, non-foldable design. The result is a device created specifically for multimedia consumption, reading, and productivity.

📱 The Screen That Changes the Rules of the Game
The main highlight of the device is its display. Huawei has opted for a 6.39-inch OLED panel with an unusually rare aspect ratio of 16:9.5. What does this mean for the user?
- Ideal video: The format is very close to standard 16:9 video, which means an end to huge black bars when watching movies and clips on YouTube.
- More content: The wide profile is perfect for reading e-books, comics, and working with documents where horizontal space is key.
- Uncompromising quality: The display features a resolution of 2232 × 1320 pixels, high-frequency 2160 Hz PWM dimming, and an impressive peak brightness of 6500 nits.
To this, we must also add the nearly invisible symmetrical bezels of just 1.05 mm, providing a staggering 96.1% screen-to-body ratio.
🔋 Engineering Marvel: 7000 mAh in an Ultra-Slim Body
Perhaps the most impressive technical achievement of the Pura X View is its design. Despite its unusual proportions and the integration of a massive battery with a typical capacity of 7000 mAh, Huawei's engineers have managed to keep the device's profile exceptionally thin – just 6.68 mm. The weight of 201 grams also makes it lightweight and comfortable for its size.
⚙️ Top-Tier Hardware and Cameras
Although Huawei traditionally keeps the exact processor specifications secret prior to a global launch, internal sources indicate that the Pura X View is powered by a flagship chipset from the Kirin 9 series. It will be paired with 12 GB of RAM and storage options of 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB.
Photographic capabilities are not neglected either. The smartphone features a triple camera system consisting of three 50 MP sensors, including a periscope system for optical zoom, guaranteeing flagship-quality photos.
🖥️ The First with HarmonyOS 7
The Pura X View has the honor of being the brand's first smartphone to debut with the new HarmonyOS 7 operating system. The interface and system apps are specially adapted and optimized for the unconventional, wider screen format to offer flawless multitasking.

📅 Availability and Colors
The smartphone will be available in four stylish colors:
- Leap Shadow Red
- Linen Gray
- Zero Degree White
- Phantom Night Black
Pre-orders on the Chinese market start on August 28, 2026, and at this stage, prices and global release plans for Europe have not yet been officially announced.
With the Pura X View, Huawei is not merely releasing another smartphone, but testing a completely new concept of how our mobile device should look and function.
