After Samsung updated its foldable device portfolio last month, the tech giant is ready to turn its attention to the more affordable premium segment. Rumors have been confirmed and the company officially announced the event "Galaxy Event August 2026", which will take place on August 27.
All eyes are on the anticipated premiere of Samsung Galaxy S26 FE (Fan Edition) – the smartphone that promises to bring key flagship features of the S26 series at a more affordable price.
The "Galaxy Event August 2026" Event
Unlike the large-scale live unveils (Unpacked), this event will be entirely digital. It will be streamed live on August 27 on Samsung's official website and on their YouTube channel.
In their invitation, Samsung teases that they will introduce the „newest addition to the Galaxy S26 family“, which is specially designed to bring the core experiences of the series (especially in cameras and artificial intelligence) to those who „are looking for what really matters to them“.

Software, Artificial Intelligence, and Design
Samsung places a huge emphasis on software support and artificial intelligence. The Galaxy S26 FE is expected to debut with Android 17 and One UI 9. What is most impressive, however, is the promise of 7 years of operating system updates and security updates, which brings the Fan Edition model on par with the brand's most expensive flagships.
The device will support Samsung's latest AI features, including Audio Eraser (for noise removal), My FanCam, and Horizontal Lock. Regarding design, we expect fresh color options like Blueberry, Graphite, and Pistachio.

Will There Be a Price Increase?
Due to the global shortage of RAM memory and improved specifications, analysts predict a slight jump in price. In Europe, the starting price is expected to be around €799, which brings the model closer to the boundary between the mid-range and high-end class.
